Four Counties Junior Championship
The Four Counties Tournament is a 'round robin' singles matchplay tournament, played annually between teams of seven players from the counties of Cheshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, and Shropshire and Herefordshire.
The tournament was inaugurated in 1973 when Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam were boy players in the Shropshire and Herefordshire team.
