CYRIL SELLICK REPORT
CYRIL SELLICK REPORT
The 100-year-old Cyril Sellick Trophy was played for today at Ruddington Grange GC. The course was in superb condition a credit to the greenstaff.
Conditions were tough and the scoring proved this.
The trophy is for best Nett score, but there are Gross prizes as well.
The winning Gross score was 75, this was achieved by both Reuben Tennent (Worksop) and Will Burbidge (Hollinwell), with Tennent picking up best Gross having scored lower on the back 9. In third place in the Gross was the ever-consistent Charlie Cooke (Newark) who shot 77.
Moving onto the main event, in 3rd place was Nathan Phillpots from ROT with a Nett 72. In runner up spot from Oakmere Park was Jack Bradley who scored a nett 71.
But the winner of the Trophy was Josh Green (Oakmere Park) who shot Nett 70.
A great score on a difficult day.
Thank you to the club and its members for allowing us the use of the course.
The last event of the Junior season is at County course Wollaton park, where we play the prestigious Henderson Trophy on the 10th September.
